For one of our clients, we are looking for a Director, Supply Chain (O&M), remotely from the United States.

In this role, you will lead the supply chain function for the operations and maintenance (O&M) division, overseeing the procurement and inventory management for a large portfolio of solar and battery energy storage projects. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, optimize inventory levels, and develop strategies to support the business’s growth and operations. The role will also involve strategic supplier management and process improvements to drive cost efficiencies while meeting project and operational goals.

Accountabilities

  • Lead a team responsible for managing the flow of goods from suppliers to field operations, ensuring effective inventory management, stock forecasting, and warehouse operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and aftermarket suppliers, managing procurement for solar and storage-related equipment and services.
  • Formulate and execute supply chain strategies, including cost optimization and delivery schedule risk management, to support business objectives.
  • Implement continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the procurement, negotiation, and contract management for equipment and labor agreements, ensuring compliance with internal processes and contractual terms.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in supply chain or related fields within the renewable energy, battery storage, or electric utility sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and logistics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Netsuite, Sitetracker).
  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships, warranty enforcement, and contract negotiations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with executives, internal teams, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
